Snow White and the Huntsman

Men in Black 3

One of the summer's "cheesier" offerings, we're hoping for a wild ride we can enjoy. Will the third installment, especially after such a long wait, deliver?
 

The Dictator and Battleship Review

Are You Screening? hosts Marc Eastman and Shane Leonard will be reviewing The Dictator. 
While not huge fans of Borat or Bruno, it's hard to say we aren't interested to see what this one has to offer. Moving more into the realm of an actual "movie," the fusing of the highly improvisational with something that has a real script should be entertaining.
We'll also be playing a couple of interview clips with Sir Ben Kingsley.
We also have Are You Screening? writer Christopher Lominac showing up with his take on Battleship.

Dark Shadows Review

Are You Screening? hosts Marc Eastman and Shane Leonard give their semi-instant reaction to Dark Shadows. This week is going to involve a bit of juggling as we celebrate Mother's Day by not taking it over.
This looks like a good one, and we will both be disappointed if this doesn't turn out to be a winner. With Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (and a concept that looks hilarious), this should be a very fun ride.

The Avengers Review

Are You Screening? hosts Marc Eastman and Shane Leonard give their instant reaction to The Avengers.
This is obviously the big one, and now we get to see how well it lives up to the hype. We're looking forward to this one, of course, especially because the true "summer" fare may make for an interesting coversation.
Is there something solid behind the flash? We'll let you know.

The Raven Review

Are You Screening? hosts Marc Eastman and Shane Leonard give their instant reaction to The Raven.
We're both looking forward to this one, though that doesn't mean we are especially confident that we'll like it. We have to confess of being Cusack fans, and it will be interesting to see what the V for Vendetta director does with this strange twist on history.

Rating Theory And Preview Of Upcoming Movies/Shows

We're taking a break from actual reviewing this week as we gear up for some of the huge releases that are fast approaching.
We decided that it actually made sense anyway, as it has become more and more apparent that we ought to have a show that we could point to in order to reference our theories on movie ratings.
I'm forcing the 5-Star rating system on Shane, and for the first part of the show we're going to be looking at our personal theories for rating films. It's trickier than it may sound, because we apparently have very different views.
The next half(ish) of the show will be devoted to letting you in on which films we're going to be covering in the upcoming weeks, and our predictions for them.
Tune in and get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on in our brains while we're doing all that rambling and rating.
