This week is all about Star Wars, but there are other movies out there. We'll review Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Sisters, which also opens this week, and we'll try to get to some of the other films jockeying for awards.
It's a big test in Disney's buyout plans, and while the merch alone will make for a good deal over time, whether The Force Awakens can bring back fans or not is going to mean a difference of several billion dollars. We'll let you know if it makes the grade, and why.
We're also going to be starting up a Periscope broadcast of the show this week, because why not kick things off on the biggest movie weekend of the year? Tune in to that live and we'll be able to answer questions.

Marc and Shane start wrapping up the year, and the closer award shows get, the more movies there are to cover each week.
Creed, Concussion, and Black Mass have managed varying degrees of success at the box office, and some nominations, but we'll let you know if you need to check them out, and if they're worthy of whatever attention they've already received.
Boxing, football, and the mob make for an interesting mix, and we may manage to get to even more.

Marc and Shane start their end of year push as award season closes in with Spotlight, Steve Jobs, and as many other movies as they can get to.
It's that time of year, and as everyone starts talking about which movie has the most buzz going into the final countdown of award season, we'll try to get through as many as we can, including some that we didn't cover from earlier in the year.
Spotlight is getting a lot of attention, and Steve Jobs is at least still managing some talk for Fassbender. Over the next few weeks, we'll hit as many films as we can, so you have our take on what's going to happen with awards, and you know which ones you definitely have to fit into your schedule.

Marc and Shane take a look at Victor Frankenstein, and let you know if James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe can make something of the retelling/reimagining of one of the most popular "monster" stories ever.
Despite the theoretic drawing power of the stars, this one hasn't been doing well with critics, and probably won't draw a huge audience considering the competition, but we'll let you know if you should give it a chance.

Marc and Shane review the final installment of The Hunger Games. It may be critic proof at this point, but we'll let you know how the franchise wraps up, and whether the movie series can end as strong as it started.
We'll also run through some of the week's industry news, answer listener questions, and take a look back at some of the year's titles that we haven't covered yet.

Marc and Shane review the latest Bond film, Spectre, and let you know if it lives up to the legend.
They'll also run you through the week's news, answer listener questions, and this week are offering up another Critic Takedown.
The past few Bond films have split our hosts. Can this one bring things back, or is the Bond franchise moving too far outside its own realm?
As we approach award season, we will also probably be offering up short reviews on smaller films and some of the things we couldn't get to throughout the year.

Marc and Shane take a look at Burnt, the new Bradley Cooper film about a chef trying to get back in the game after destroying his own career.
Directed by John Wells (The Company Men, August: Osage County), and written by Steven Knight (Seventh Son, Peaky Blinders), the film takes niche to a new level just in its theory. With Cooper on top of his game, can he deliver the world that is a chef going after a third Michelin star in a way that makes for a movie that can interest those who aren't cuisin fanatics?
We'll let you know if this one is worth your time, and we'll give a rundown of the week's news, and more.

FilmReview.com host and BFCA critic, Marc Eastman, and co-host extraordinaire, Shane Leonard, review Bill Murray's latest, Rock the Kasbah. The film looks custom-made for Bill Murray just by watching a few seconds of the trailer (and it is), but it also doesn't exactly look like something solidly comedic, or dramatic, so what Bill Murray do we get exactly?
Barry Levinson isn't quite the name he once was, which makes it more difficult to predict what sort of film this will be, and writer Mitch Glazer doesn't help that much.
We'll let you know if this one is worth the trip to the theater.
We'll also give you a rundown of the week's news, answer listener questions, and more.

FilmReview.com host and BFCA critic, Marc Eastman, and co-host extraordinaire, Shane Leonard, review Crimson Peak. Guillermo del Toro is back with something that looks especially creepy, but also has an odd, tension build to it, but is it actually worth your time?
Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Jessica Chastain lead an impressive cast in the haunting tale that wants to offer up a house in a supporting role, and it may well be worth watching just to see them. If you fall for the trailers, it looks as though this could be one of the year's best films, but do they really give you a look at what's coming?
We'll let you know if this one is worth the trip to the theater.
We'll also give you a rundown of the week's news, answer listener questions, and more.

FilmReview.com host and BFCA critic, Marc Eastman, and co-host extraordinaire, Shane Leonard, review Pan. This one certainly looks intriguing, though taking a classic work and adding a new chapter to the story is always a risky gamble. Joe Wright has certainly worked some interesting titles before, and often by bucking the norms of the cinematic world, but will this version of the classic tale, with flying ships, bizarre landscapes, and Hook as good guy manage to spin a decent yarn?
You'd think this one would be able to wrangle a decent audience just based on being something for younger audiences, but critics haven't been in love so far. Is it worth your time?
We'll also give you a rundown of the week's news, answer listener questions, and more.
